Pet Lover Show in Abbotsford

Pet Lover Show

Pet Lover Show

In less than two weeks pet lovers from across the Lower Mainland will gather for the first ever Pet Lover Show at Abbotsford’s Tradex on February 16 and 17, 2013. This fun family event is the place for animal lovers to learn from top animal professionals, browse the latest toys and products for pets and be entertained with a great line-up of speakers and feature events.

Highlights of the Pet Lover Show include the internationally renowned wildlife program Wild Wonders, which has wowed audiences on the Discovery Channel, the Tonight Show, the Today Show and many other programs with its fantastic array of animals from all over the world. Bring your family to meet amazing creatures from South America, Asia, Africa and Australia, as well as from right here at home.

Expert dog behaviorist and professor of psychology at University of British Columbia Dr. Stanley Coren will give visitors insight into canine behavior to help them read their dog’s body language, understand the sophisticated language of barking and tailor a training program to their dog’s temperament. For would-be horse-owners (and their parents!), Sharon Wells-Ackermans, managing director of the Horse Protection Society, will explain what you should know BEFORE you buy a horse. Sharon will explain a horse’s basic needs, the costs and the challenges of keeping a horse.
