There are plenty of outdoor areas, especially made for families, to enjoy at Granville Island. We blew off some steam, before our preview of The Itch and the Golden Nit, at the playground behind the theatre.

The kids enjoyed the playground, that was for all ages, as well as the sandpit that had a running stream controlled by a kid accessible button. All this was located behind the theater next to the awesome water park with slide. The water park was still closed for the season but the kids were wanting desperately to come back to try it.
These areas will be available during the Vancouver International Children’s Festival on Granville Island, there will also be three Activity Zones: Celebration; Exploration; and Imagination. The passes are available for $6.00 and you don’t need a show ticket to enjoy them.

Friday 9:30am to 6:30pm
Saturday 10:00am to 6:00pm
Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm
*Note: Activities do not take place on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday’s pyjama nights.
*All children must be accompanied by an adult.
