A New Strain of Eurasian Watermilfoil

There is a new strain of Eurasian Watermilfoil invading Christina Lake.  This strain not only attaches to other native lake plants but is has seen attaching to the small upper lip region of swimmers and other human beings that encounter it.

Watch out it’s an attack of the MUTANT MILFOIL MUSTACHES!

Little children are not safe from the Mutant Milfoil.

Boys are Girls have fallen victim to the Mutant Milfoil Mustaches!

It has been known to even change the personality & swagger of those it invades.

Even grown men cannot avoid succumbing to the powers of the Mutant Milfoil Mustache.

“Eurasian watermilfoil is not native to North America. It was first observed in British Columbia in 1970 in Okanagan Lake. The plant has spread since to Shuswap and Mara Lakes, to Christina and Champion Lakes in the Kootenays, to all the main lakes in the Okanagan Valley and to numerous water bodies in the Lower Mainland. Also, isolated populations were discovered on Vancouver Island in 1985, and in Nicola Lake in 1991.”
