Wake Up Advil

Hello Advil!? Is anybody there?!

Did you know that Advil Liqui-gels and Advil Extra Strength Liqui-gels DO NOT have child safety locks on their bottles?!?!?  I tried emailing them on their website but of course I got an error message.

I figured that this was urgent so I called them and here is what they told me.

“The 32 Advil Liqui-Gels & the 72 Extra Strength Liqui-Gels have child safety locks on their bottles.  Individuals with arthritis have difficulty pressing down and turning open the child safety locks on the bottles.”

Personally I buy the big bottles of pain killers at Costco or at other stores in large quantities.  I guess I will have to buy multiple bottles in the smaller quantity sizes or use another child-safety bottle to put some pills in.

I was actually surprised that this was their reasoning.  Have they not figured out a way to child proof a bottle that would be also be easily accessible to an individual that had arthritic hands?

I think that this is just an accident waiting to happen though.

If anything looks like candy, it’s these pills!
