Are you looking for something FREE and fun to do in the summer? At Queen’s Park in New Westminster you can enjoy the petting zoo and the great all ages playgrounds. We spent about 4 hours taking in all the fun.
The zoo is open from 10am – 5:30pm.
Don’t forget to read the rules with your kids. Currently, I am into reading everything.
Notice: they may nibble or bite
A baby goat just born the day we visited.
Being very brave.
A BABY goat!
Then they got sick of us and stayed behind the chain link boundaries. Easty is telling this pregnant goat that her Aunty Keri is going to have a baby too.
This is where eggs come from Mom.
Um they may nibble or bite Jackson.
Counting baby bunnies. Jackson correctly counted 11.
Easton was super scared of the bunnies. Just after I took this she ran away.
But pigs are NOT scary Mommy! They are funny! They like dirt. Hmm, just like a little girl that I know.
Make sure you wash your hands BEFORE and AFTER.
These smiles make the trip over to New Westminster worth it.

Great pictures! Glad you had a fun day
I didn’t know they had a petting farm over there! My kids would probably go bonkers for it. I’ll have to put it on my list of things to do so we don’t go crazy staring at each other all summer long.
We love it there too..and I would highly recommend their Canada Day Celebrations..totally laid back family fun…we usually bring a picnic and set up near the water park..let the kids run around there, there is face painting, bands, speeches and cake and then we finish with the petting farm.
Thanks CC! I did not know that about their Canada Day celebrations! We have already committed to the Salmon festival in Steveston. My Dad was born there and we go and visit my Great Aunt Haddie. I think that she is 90 this year!
